Hooray to the Navy!!!!!!

Cheers to the US Navy for the rescue of Captain Richard Phillip alive and well. Very proud of President Obama for giving the word to rescue the Captain. He did the right thing.

His first 3 months in office

I was thinking back to all the things that have gone on sense President Obama took office. And this is the way it stacks up. He and the congress (Demicrates only) voted it to give millions of dollars to failing backs and auto companies. now the banks want to give the money back governments says no way. Now they want to give money to the life insurance companies. As it stands now we are getting in to trillions of dollars of debt which we may never see the end of. Then he took a tour of Europe where in several speaches he critizied the US and appoligzied for our short comings, and durning his speach about dissarming the us of nucluar capability N. Korea shot of a missile and is working towards nucular armament. Then he bowed to the Arab President and his spokesman said he didn't. It seems to me that President Obama is getting a lot done but not nessicaraly for the better. He wants every country out there to like us, which in theroy is a good thing, but not realistic. As parents we cant be our kids best friend and still expect them to respect us and the rules we set down for them. It's the same here we don't need to be everybodys friend we need to be strong and protect our people. I don't think that is going to happen now. We have been safe for several years with no attacks on our soil but I think that will change with the way he is doing things. We need the cowboy mentality back in Washington. We were safe and felt safe not so much now. I think he is in over his head without the expirance it takes for the job.

highsea's hijacking

I was watching the news yesterday and today about that Hijacking of a cargo ship flying an Americian Flag. This ship was taking aid to Africa and was hijacked by Samali pirates hoping to get thousands of dollars from the company in charge of that ship. instead they got 20 americian seamen who took them on and got the ship back. yes the captian was taken hostage but these seamen let the pirates know that they are dealing with Americian's and will have to really work for what they are after. We need to take a stand and let all pirates know that if they come near a US ships on the highseas with ill intentions they will have a true fight on their hands. We need to send in the US Navy or Marines to take out the pirates and protect all us ships.

Is he tough enough

I don't understand how we could shutdown or reduce our missile program just as N. Korea is shooting a missile into space. It seems to me that this would be a good time to make our country more secure instead of less secure. If we get attacked again is President Obama going to open talks with the country that attacks or his he going to show some backbone and defend us. On 9/11 President Bush was reading to some kindergarten kids. After the attack he was criticized for not jumping up and rushing to our defence. If he had however he would have been criticized for scaring those kids. I hope President Obama can be tough when circumstances call for him too.

Are we tough enough now

Ok so something I don't understand. North Korea launched a missile 2000 ft. up. And what is President Obama doing? 6 party talks but nothing else to tell them not to launch it toward anyone. President Bush would have shot it out to the air, I think President Obama is just afraid to look bad. he wants to make everyone happy so he looks good. We need to be tough and stand up to those out there who try to push others around. N. Korea has been an issue for many years and we have been strong with them before now is not the time to pull back. they need to be treated like a spoild child and punished and sent to their room. We are a wealthy strong country and have always been seen that way, but if we don't do anything the worlds view will change and other countries will start to cross the line and push the limits.

Term limits

We could solve so many problems if our congressmen and women had a limited amount of time to acomplish what they wanted too. If we continue to allow them to spend the rest of their lives in the congress we are never going to solve anything. These men and women get so comfortable in those chairs and the money and power that they get they all lose sight of why they were voted in. To repersent US and most of the time they arn't doing that. If they knew their time in congress was limited they would be more likely to what they were sent to washington for, serve the needs of the people.

DC vacums the brain

How come everytime a person gets into public office their commonsense flies out the window.
I watch the news and have to wonder if DC sucks out any commonsense from normal peoples brains. they can't answer a question with a yes or no answer anymore and the idea that you have to spend billions or trillions of dollars in other countries will stimulate another country. If your in london behind closed doors without the enternet you aren't going to stimulate anyone in the US. It blows my mind sometimes.
